A MEDIOCRE FACT

#1 - When Albert Einstein was nine years old, he could not speak properly.  His parents suspected that he was mentally retarded.  When he died, his brain was put in a jar to be examined and saved for the future.

The value of a quarter.
A Gift of Genius from Luke Gannon
Monday, 19 May 2008
Two dimes and a nickel? Worthless.  I can blow that faster than a whore can blow a virgin. And for those of you who didn't have to pay for your first b.j. that's pretty damn fast.

But a quarter? Whew. I'll stab a man for a quarter.

A Super Cool Tribute
A Gift of Genius from Rev. Kevin Lowe
Tuesday, 06 May 2008
I shit you not, Almost Mediocre has received the sincerest form of flattery.  We've been spoofed.  Or at least Super Cool LA Guy has.
Much AM love to Radel and Gabriel who are kicking off their filmmaking careers with a tribute(?) to everyone's favorite douche bag.
(And thanks to Luke's cousin Katie for unearthing this gem.)

All I have to do is sit down and write something.  Rather its Jokes for the act, shorts for the site, or a blog for the site.  That’s all.  Just sit down and do it.

Who wants to listen to some awesome music?
A Gift of Genius from Rev. Kevin Lowe
Wednesday, 30 April 2008
I found a new awesome website today, while I was supposed to be finding out what was going on with warranty service request for Mrs. Simmons window.  It's called Muxtape.  The concept is simple.  You get to upload 12 songs and make an online mixtape that anyone can listen to.  Plus, it's super easy to use.  I've demonstrated this by making my own.   And I gave it a theme: COVER SONGS!

Say It Ain't So, Gene
A Gift of Genius from Schaefer
Saturday, 26 April 2008
I heard some sad news last week.  So sad that I planned on blogging about it last week, but just couldn't bring myself to do it.  Now I've got some distance from it and I can talk about it (I think).  Last week, the greatest actor of all time announced he's retiring.  Last week, Gene Hackman called it quits.

I did a good deed at IKEA today.
A Gift of Genius from Brandon Vestal
Thursday, 24 April 2008
I had to go to the IKEA today to get a part to fix the high dollar “Roman” window shade that my women friend and me purchased a few months ago.  I pulled to hard on the string with my super human biceps I guess.

The Oneaders.
A Gift of Genius from Luke Gannon
Monday, 21 April 2008
It was 1995. Way before itunes. Back when you had to buy an entire album, even if you only wanted one song from it.  I was driving home from school, it  was a beautiful fall day. And then I heard the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard. It came from the radio. It was the song, "Counting Blue Cars" by the band Dishwalla. I, of course, drove straight to the Disc Jockey, paid $14.99, and listened to the song over and over again. It was a pretty catchy tune. Every other song on the album sucked.

Carl's Jr.
A Gift of Genius from Luke Gannon
Monday, 14 April 2008
I don't like spicy foods, ask anyone who knows me, they'll tell ya the same thing. And by spicy, I mean, jalepenos and onions.  And I don't like condiments either. And by condiments, I mean, ketchup, mustard, pickles, mayonaise, and especially "special sauce". All of those disgust me.  And all of those can be found on the new Spicy Jalepeno Chicken Sandwich fom Carl's Jr.
